Finally back to business

Oh it has been a while since I wrote here, but bear with me, we have been sooooo busy with Emma.

So better start up from 20th of February, when we went to the vet for the first time. I also had to ride in a bus for the first time of my life, it was so spooky. I whined a little bit all through the journey, but Emma said I was still a good girl. The vet place was super nice, so many people wanted to chat with me, and there were so nice smells of other dogs. Emma also weighed me there and I was 4,9kg heavy, a little runt still. At the vet's office I got examined, and also I was told I was really healthy and good puppy, naturally! Then I got my vaccinations, which I really didn't feel at all. Main reason why I didn't care about the shot was because the vet gave me such nice treats to nom! I would have let her do anything for those treats.

Well then we did not do anything super special before 6th of March, for Emma had a final test of Hebrew and she was very occupied with that, and she also was home because of the flu she had. We did take long walks and played a lot but that is what we do everyday anyways. But then on 6th of March after Emma's test Philipp took me to train station of Helsinki, where me and Emma jumped into a train. Weird place, weird smells and much movement going on. I wasn't really into the whole train thing for first, but then when we had traveled for 20 minutes Emma shared some lunch with me, which is always the best thing that can happen in my day (human food is just so tasty!), and then she closed my crates door so I could nap. I really like my crate, I sleep there at home also so it was really nice to just nap in peace for some hours before having the first pee-break. I pretty much slept throughout our journey until Oulu (except the 3 pee-breaks we had) where we met Emma's parents who then drove us to Rovaniemi, where Emma is originally from.

At Rovaniemi I met finally Emma's older dog, Hekja (who is an icelandic sheepdog, and much older than me). I so wanted to just kiss her and snuggle with her all the time, but Hekja was not so crazy about all that. She just avoided me for the first day before she started to open up to me. After couple of days we were playing together and she even let me sleep next to her, which was so nice. I like cuddling and kissing.

Apparently we traveled to Rovaniemi because Emma had an interview for a job. Apparently she also got the job that she wanted, so our trip was not for nothing! Because of this we will spend our summer at Rovaniemi, so I get to spend more time with Hekja! Which I am looking forward to already. It is somehow easier to get treats when there is two of us giving the puppy eyes.

After the interview day we left Rovaniemi and traveled back to Helsinki. We got home very late, and I went straight to sleep in the middle of my toys, it was so nice to get the safe home smell around me again. After returning home we haven't done anything that special, but I bet I will soon again have some stuff to share with you dear fans. Until then!

OH and P.S : Emma also weighed me at Rovaniemi and then I already was 7kg heavy, so I am now growing really fast. Here is still a picture of my wild looking "eyebrow" coloring

Time to update!

Hello all! I haven't had time to write for I have had to take care of Emma who has been sick. I have to make sure she gets her healthy dose of fresh outside air every now and then, or she would just be stuck indoors and would never get healthy! Such a big responsibility is laying on my shoulders.

And by the way.....

My ears have perked up! Finally I am a big girl

I actually am such a big girl already, that I shall be going to vet on Thursday, to get some vaccinations. I am very exited about this, since I love to adventure outside our house. Emma just is hoping I will behave nicely and be brave. I cannot make her any guarantees about that, it all depends on how the vet clinic will be. And will I get treats or not... I recommend that I would, for the sake of everyone.

On the weekend when Emma has much more time in her hands, we have started to have much more longer walks, which I have enjoyed soooooo much! We walk around this big (I think it is very big!) park, where these is also usually other dogs walking. I also have gotten to play with another young Finnish Lapphund on the park! She was so nice to play with, I everyday hope I see her again so we can run around together.

I like that after the long walks I can get comfortable and take a long nap while Emma does her school stuff. She says her schedule will get easier after 2 weeks from now, and we have much more time for long walks during the week also. I am eagerly waiting for that, I don't like when she has to leave for lectures.

I shall update again when I have the time, if Emma would be so polite and finally get healthy so I wouldn't have to worry about her all the time. Until that by-bye!

TV is great! Now I only gotta figure out how to get in there

"What Emma? You wanna play fetch NOW?"
 "Well I don't know really..."
"The Simpsons would be on the telly right now. We can do this in the commercial break right?"

I like to watch TV! It is such a great human-wonder-machine. So many bright moving pictures, and such sounds. Wow...

Sadly Emma doesn't watch that much TV, just on the evening after she has done school stuff. She should learn to prioritize my telly watching need over her silly studies! Well luckily when Philipp watches after me he usually plays some kind of "video games"(as they call them) when I start to lay down ready to sleep. These video games are also very fun to stare at, so much stuff going on in them.

I wonder how these TV shows work, because I personally think I would be a lovely add to some of my favorite shows. Maybe I must google those shows and seek how to get into them, once I get that done my cuteness is ready to be broadcasted over the nations! Finally everyone will recognize and admire my sweet puppy face, and all the belly rubs and treats will be mine forever! Mwuahahahah!

But that must wait since the Big Bang Theory is starting and I must really know what happens in this days episode, I shall return to you soon my dear fans. Here is still a picture of me starting to watch the episode to keep you satisfied.

Everyday life of mine

Hi to all blog readers! I noticed we have had sooooo many peeks in our blog after the last post. If I could give you all a big kiss on your face, I would. As a thanks. And because I really like kissing people!

I haven't been doing much these last days besides the normal playing, eating and waking up Emma in the middle of the night to give me the attention that I need. I am entitled to belly rubs at 5am.

Apparently Emma would not have a problem with me waking her up as early as I do, if she wouldn't have a big essay to turn in this week. Well I think she actually now needs me more than ever, to give her all the needed breaks from her studying. She also has lecture always on the evenings, apparently some kind of weird language called hebrew, so I stay that time with Philipp. I must admit it is very nice to stay with Philipp, since he tends to be more easy going with the treats. It is almost too easy to melt his heart with my puppy stare. Then later, after 4 hours, Emma returns and I always remember to greet her happily with my wagging tail. This way get very nice hugging and kissing time from her straight away.

Oh I almost forgot, we have started to take longer walks in the neighborhood with Emma, she says I behave very nicely in the leash already. Well truthfully it is not very hard to walk on a leash, every now and then I would reeeeeeeally like to jump after some sticks and paper bags, but I have already learned that I won't get after them by jumping around or biting the leash. I just have to wait and then calmly walk nearby Emma. I really enjoy walks and seeing other people and dogs, Emma doesn't let me go and kiss all the other humans I see which I think is very mean of her. I cannot help that I have so much love in my tiny puppy body!

Well I bet I don't have anything more to tell about these past days, here is an extra picture of me since I am so sweet. I gotta give my fans what they need.

About Finnish Lapphund as a breed

Hi! It is me Tesla again. I thought it would be best if I would open up a little information about my breed, since some people who stumble upon reading my blog might not know much about Finnish Lapphunds.

First of all we are a medium sized and strongly-build breed. Males approximately grow to be 46 to 52 cm (18 to 20 inches) tall and females like me grow to be approximately 41 to 47 cm (16 to 19 inches). I hope I will be tall so I can finally snatch stuff from tabletops, people tend to leave the best noms there. We are also generally healthy breed so we live up to 12-16 years.

We come in wide variety of colors, I myself am black and tan, but for example my mother is brown with markings. All the colors are acceptable in dog shows.

Our origin is to herd reindeers in Lapland for Sami people, so we are very active breed. We are apparently also considered very intelligent and well receiving to training, well I can agree with that since everything I do correctly brings me a treat. We also bark a lot, but of course we have to do that since those reindeers never listen to us if we just ask them nicely to move themselves. Because of our background we have very big and fluffy coat so we can live outdoors very nicely, but I would not prefer that since I would be too far away from all the people and treats they provide. I do enjoy all my outside walks and playtimes in the snow since I never get cold, unlike Emma.

In Finland we are very popular breed, since we are friendly, active, sturdy and obedient aka ideal for families. Although with our curiosity we need some watching over, as our big smiles indicate we have sense of humor when it comes to tricking our masters.

Inside Finland our breed has many hobbies to do, since we are active and fit for many dog sports. For my sake Emma has apparently thought some obedience training and dog shows, but maybe if I keep up my fast pace she will also train agility with me. Who knows, I am still so small all the doors are open for me.

Hi there..

My name is Tesla. I am a Finnish Lapphund (suomenlapinkoira as it is named in finnish) puppy from Helsinki, the capital of Finland. My age exactly is at the moment 8 weeks.

I am apparently named after some type of an inventor genius man who originally comes from Serbia. I have no clue what I have in common with this man, but I guess my owner had her reasons to name me after him. Maybe she is hoping I will turn out as a brainiac.

I just moved to my new home with my new owner last saturday, and boy has it been an adventure! First of all I was very surprised to just be snatched from my birthplace to a car where I had to travel for over an hour! Luckily I am heavy sleeper and decided to sleep all the way to Helsinki, otherwise I don't know how I would have managed with all of these new things in my life. My new home is very comfortable and full of toys for me to horde, so I have no problem staying here so far. I have to rethink this if the toys and amount of food I am offered starts to go down.

My first days have been busy busy busy, I have had to learn a new place for all of my important stuff, like where my food, water and toys are stored. I also have been busy training Emma to give me treats when I sit, lay or give her my paw. I also have tricked her to give me treats every time I pee or poop outside, like that would be worth a treat.

I will update how my life is going as I grow up, about the things I learn and teach Emma to do for me. Hope you have fun time witnessing my growth here in my blog. Bye bye for now!
